Coolidge, Grace and Calvin
Autograph letter signed ("Grace Coolidge") as First Lady, to Postmaster General and Mrs. Harry S. New, thanking them for a Christmas gift, also ꦇsigned by Mrs. Coolidge's husband, the thirtieth President ("Calvin Coolidge")
2 pages (207 x 137 mm) on a bifolium of gold-embossed White House letterhead, Washington, 4 January 1929;🦩 lightly creased at🌺 horizontal fold.
The Coolidges send holiday greetings to Harry and Catherine New: "We appreciate your thought of us at the Christmas Season and assure you that we shall always prize the silver plates as a token of the cordial relationship which we as a family have been privileg𒉰ed to enjoy. With our best wishes for your health and happiness in the year just opening."
New was appointed Postmaster General by President Harding and was continued in the position by Coolidge.
