The reference 5396 was first introduced in 2006, paying tribute to Patek Philippe’s 1930s dial design. For the first 🎃time in an Annual Calendar, Patek Philippe incorporated a twin in-line display, reminiscent of the perpetual calendar execution seen in references 3448 and 3450.

In 2024, Patek unveiled the current white gold 5396G Annual Calendar, enhancing the collection with a gradient blue dial and diamond-set baguette indices. At its heart i𝓰s Patek’s automatic caliber 26‑330, visible through a sapphire case back. This movement powers the annual calendar, moonphase, and central sweep seconds hand. The day and month are displayed in-line below 12 o’clock, while the date is elegantཧly integrated into the 24-hour indication subdial at 6 o’clock.

The sunburst blue dial transitions smoothly to black at the minute track, creating a captivating gradient effect. This combination of the sunburst finish and gradient aꦇdds depth and intrigue to the dial, elevating it beyond a traditional flat treatment. Sharp dauphi🐎ne hands and a sweeping seconds hand complete the sophisticated look. A shiny blue alligator strap with a deployant clasp perfectly complements the striking blue dial.
