Herrmann notes prior to its sale by a Private Collector in 2010, that this very fine Persian workshop carpet with curvilinear boteh motifs was also formerly in the collection of a leading Paris dealer. It is similar to a carpet in the Golestan Palace, Tehran no. ꧙133, published by S. Azadi, Persian Carpets: Inauguration of the Carpet Museum, Tehran 1977, no. 130.
