BUZZ ALDRIN'S APOLLO XI CONTINGENCY CHECKLIST—USED BY HIM DURING TRAINING FOR APOLLO 11
This checklist provided alternative procedures in the event of a Command and Service Module (CSM) failure. It gave instructions to the Command Module Pilot on how to deal with such problems as power failure, Service Propulsion System (SPS) engine failure, failure of the navigation system, and loss of communications between Mission Control or the Lunar Module (LM). This checklist also provided step-by-step procedures to prepare the CSM for an EVA, or "spacewalk," between the CSM and the LM by the LM crew in the event CSM tunn🍸el could not be used for some reason. The checklist has red pages to highlight emergency procedures like spacesuit failures and engine failures.
