LUNAR SURFACE FLOWN♛ DATA CARD USED TO RETURN THE LUNAR MODULE FROM THE MOON TO THE COMMAND SERVICE MODULE.
BUZZ ALDRIN'S provenance letter reads, in full: "On July 16th, 1969, Neil Armstrong, Mike Collins, and I lifted off from Pad 39A at the John F. Kennedy Space Center on our journey to perform humankind's first landing on the Moon at the Sea of Tranquility.
The Antenna Angles data card provided us with the operational limits of the Lunar Module Rendezvous Radar (RR) at certain points of the compass. For example, at 200 degrees on the compass, the RR has a range of motion from 208 degrees to 26 degrees. This means that the RR could track a target (most likely the Command and Service Module) through slightly more than 180 degrees. This card was on the lunar surface in Eagle and was used after liftoff to start the search for and track Mike Collins in Columbia, as Neil and I headed back to rendezvous in the ascent stage of Eagle.
This Antenna Angles data card is one of the few objects carried to the lunar surface and is also a rare example of an astronaut flight-certified object used during the first landing on the Moon."
