Containing the complete text of the Constitution of the State of Alaska, as agreed upon by the ♈delegates at the Alaska Constitutional Convention, held in Fairbanks at the University of Alaska, in February ꧙1956. Congress outlined the terms of statehood in June 1958, and on 3 January 1959, President Eisenhower signed the proclamation declaring Alaska the 49th state.
