the lobed ovoid body on splayed foot with two large applied handles, domed cover with knop finial, copper-gilt liner to the cover, copper mounts, decorated in coloured cloisonné enamels, gold stone, and various thicknesses of copper wire, the lobed body with panels alternating with serpents, ho-o birds, beneath a band of lappets with flowers and foliage, the cover with ho-o birds and floral lappets beneath the large knop finial, surmounted on an engr🅘aved copper-gilt panel m♒odelled as a flowerhead
