Le sac Artycapucines de Zhao Zhao, lancé en 2020, est inspiré de sa sculpture de 2018, In Extremis No.3. Pour ce sac, les éléments métalliques de l'œuvre ont été transformés en 353 patchs. Ils ont été découpés au laser dans cinq types de cuir différents, brodés à la main, à la machine, imprimés (avec sept motifs différents🍎) ou travaillés en relief. Ces pièces ont ensuite été assemblées et cousues pour former un seul panneau qui suit le dessin précis de Zhao. Le motif ainsi obtenu couvre toute la surface du sac, dont le rabat et la poignée.

Signé par l'artiste sous leඣ rabat, ce sac est présenté dans une iconique Boîte Chapeau Louis Vuitton en toile Monogram inspirée d’un design historique de la Maison. La Boîte Chapeau est également signée en caractères mandarins et occidentaux et datée par l'artiste. 

Le produit net de la vente de ce lot Artycapucines sera reversé par le vendeur à l'UNICEF (Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'Enfance), choisie par l’artiste pour soutenir ses actions. Cette ONG fournit des vaccins, une aide à l'éducation, de l'eau potable et des installations sanitaires, ainsi que la prévention et le traitement du VIH pour les mères et les bébés, tout en s'efforçant de protéger les enfants et les adolescent𒅌s de la violence et de l'exploitation.

Zhao Zhao’s Artycapucines, first released in 2020, is based on his 2018 sculpture, In Extremis No.3. For the bag, the work’s metal elements were transformed into 353 individual la🅠ser-cut patches of 5 different types of leather, either hand-embroidered, machine-embroidered, printed (with seven different patterns) or worked into relief. These were then assembled and meticulously sewn together into a single panel that followed Zhao’s precise design layout. The resulting pattern covers the entire surface of the finished bag, body, flap and handle.

The Zhao Zhao Artycapucines bag, which is signed and dated in pink bꦦy the artist under the flap, is presented in an accompanying Louis Vuitton Boîte Chapeau, a hat box in iconic Monogram canvas based on a historical design by the Maiso▨n. The Boîte Chapeau is also signed in both Mandarin and Western script and dated by the artist.

The net sale proceeds of the sale of this Artycapucines lot will be remitted to UNICEF, the United Nations children’s organization, chosen by the artist to support its actions. This organization provides vaccines, education, safe water and sanitation, and HIV pr🐻evention and treatment to mothers and babies, while working to protect children and adolescents from violence and exploitation.
