TASTING NOTE

Colour: Gold

Nose: Very clean with some aged Calvados, Tarte Tatin, fres💙h hay bales and a floral touch. This nose is so smooth it betrays its 60% ABV. A drop of water opens🅷 it up and distillery character come through, with cereals - a box of raisin wheats that I was rarely treated to as a child. Green bananas, custard cream biscuits with a tropical Um Bongo at break-time. This is a mid-90s lunch box, which perfectly matches its 1995 release date.

Palate: There’s the 60%. I was so seduced by the nose that the heat of the alcoh🗹ol initially took me by surprise. The malt comes through with fruit and barley cordial, some poached orchard fruits and even a hint of irn bru. There is certainly a metallic note in there. Distillery character is the predominant feature, and a great opportunity to experience the DNA of this closed distillery.
