The frame was made by Vu Cao Dam, and this painting must have been painted at the end of 1952, beginning of 1953 when he was living in Veniജce.

The indication of the date comes from the fact that he started doing the frames for his paintings when he lived at the vi𝔉lla Les Heures Claires, situated close to the Matisse Chapel, where he moved in the fall of 1952.
