The present Breguet combines some of watchmaking’s most reveredꦐ complications and techniques to create one horological tour de force. The dial is beautifully semi-skeletonised, allওowing the viewer to examine each component’s flawless finishing. This also allows the tourbillon, one of the brand’s signature complications and indeed invented by Abraham Louis Breguet himself centuries ago, to be admired in all of its glory as well. Finally comes the chain and fusée, which although is less obvious to the untrained eye, will be recognised by connoisseurs as a true testament to watchmaking expertise.

The chain and 👍fusée is one of the most effective ways of improving the accuracy of a watch. It is a constant force mechanism which compensates for the constantly lowering tension in the mainspring as it winds down from full power by using an extremely miniaturised chain wrapped around a cassette of changing diameter in accordance with the state of winding. The miniaturization and precision required to execu🐲te a chain and fusée correctly is nothing short of astounding, and Breguet is more than up to the task, as shown in the present watch.
