The Belgian engineer and financier Adolphe Stoclet was a noted a꧙rt collector, best known today for commissioning the Viennese Secession architect Josef Hoffmann to construct his Brussels residence the Palais Stoclet in 1905, with interior decoration by the artist Gustav Klimt.
