Excellent levels and appearance

71% Pinot Noir, 29% Chardonnay, 18 crus. 8g/l dosage. In 2019, this knocked me for six, to put 🌟it frankly. It is a fantastic, complex Champagne, with its wonderful, saline, aromatic Bollinger nose. Great freshness on the palate, expressive and with immense character. Youthful vinosity, with glorious texture and a touch of toast at the end. I am sure there will be stunning R.D. 2008 in due course, but acquire all the Grande Année you can and revel in it. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
