Perhaps the best NASA released book on the Apollo Program based on text written and photographs or images illustrated. Nearly 200 of rarely seen photographs highlight events from lunar orbit, the lunar surface, and support operations such as Mission Control and flight training. Included are chapters written by Astronauts Aldrin and Collins on Apollo 11, Conrad on Apol🎐lo 12, Lovell on Apollo 13, and Shepard who finally made his second flight, Apollo 14, after nearly a ten year wait. Other contributors include Wernher von Braun and flight director/mission manager Christopher Kraft.
