From magnum at 9 years old, it has a very good colour, especially for 2000. Pure liquorice on the nose. Sweet spicy earth. Utterly enticin🍰g, intoxicating, hedonistic taste. That real wild strawberry flavour. Sweet Little Scarlets and damp earth on the palate. Very harmonious. Very "feminine" and full of charm, but there is no mistaking the deep flavour. Liquorice on the finish, as it began. Delightful wine and magical to drink at any time of its life. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

An outstanding collection of wines from Domaine de La Romanée-Conti featuring truly exceptional, coveted cases in a variety of formats, from bottles to Methuselahs, most of them in their original cases, spanning 1999 through to 2010. All the wines were acquired on release directly from the Domaine and were cellared in professional temperature-controlled storage until removed for this auction. All the cases were sealed with the original bands from the Domaine until inspection by Sot♐heby’s Specialists
