Charles-Guillaume Diehl (1811-1885) was an inventive ébèniste working in a variety of styles at his workshop of rue Saint-Sebastién. By 1870 he had an operation of about 600 employees, producing not only furniture but also small objects such as games boxes, jewellery ca🤪skets and liqueur cabinets.&n⭕bsp;
While many of his contemporar𓄧y é✤bènistes were producing Louis XV and XVI revival style pieces, Diehl always seek originality creating pieces in néo-grec style and exhibited in all major international exhibitions, starting with the Great Exhibition of 1851, and winning many prestigious medals.
