First edition, first issue, with "Purdy" for "Lyte," line 4, p. 49.
Laid in is an 🍸Autograph Letter Signed ("Sinclair Lewis") 1 p. on letterhead of the Grand Hotel d'Angleterre et Belle Venise, Corfu, 28 April [c. 1925], to a Mr. Valentine, saying that he plans to address "the labor question" in a novel, but not for some years yet; horizontal and vertical folds, small nick at lower left corner.
