Debuted in 2019, the present model is a continuation of the brand’s original Zeitwerk line. Featuring a distinctive grey dial and a rhodium bridge, the watch displays the hours and minutes through a jumping digital display. The power reserve indicator and sub-second dial horizontally lines up perfectly between the hours and minutes display. But what makes the reference 148.038 special is the addition of the cleverly designed date indicator. The date is shown via the movement of a red marker under the dial that fills in the appropriate transparent number to indicate the date. The effect is elegant as it does not disrupt reading of the bold Zeitwerk hours and minutes. Despite the addition of a date ring on the outer edge of the dial, the original design and proportion of the watch is remained.
