Thence by descent, to her son Philip, 1st Duke of Wharton;
By whom sold as part of the famous collection of portraits in the Wharton collection for £1,500 to Sir Robert Walpole, Houghton Hall, by 1725;
Thence by descent to the 4th Marquess of Cholmondeley, Houghton Hall;
By whom sold, London, Christie's, 10 July 1886, lot 212, for 415 guineas;
There acquired by Asher Wertheimer;
From whom acquired by Cornelius Vanderbilt II (1843-1899), New York City and Newport;
