Born in Japan in 1969, Izumi Kato lives and works in Tokyo, Japan and Hong Kong. He graduated from the D♍epartment of Oil Painting at Musashino University in 1992.

Since the 2000s, he held several exhibitions in Japan and aꩵcross the world.

In 2007, he was invited to take part ♈in the 52nd Venice Biennale International Exhibition.
