Catalogue Note

The following note was printed 🌞in the 1952 Park-Bernet Galleries catalogue regarding a now lost letter: "An amusing letter written by the artist, and dated New York, November 15, 1931, will be given to the purchaser. In it he states that the painting, "owned by a New York collector for many years, was done at Cos Cob, Connecticut, on one of the small tidal inlets of Long Island Sound"."
