Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Executed on uneven white wove paper, attached in places to the backing board on the reverse. There are several artist's pin holes in all four corners and a few possible staple marks at the centre and towards the bottom of the left edge and a further possible staple mark to the left of the signature. There is a tiny tear at the extreme upper right edge. There are a few very light creases towards the top half of the sheet, notably at the centre of the figure's neck and one approximately 30cm. to the right of this. There are very faint handling marks towards all four corners and along the top edge. There are further very faint handling marks beneath the figure's collar bone and towards the centre bottom edge of the upper right hand quadrant. There are two very faint vertical rub marks towards the bottom left corner and a two further small rub marks in the yellow area of the bottom left corner. Upon close inspection, there are further very faint rub marks towards the centre right edge of the upper right quadrant.
