Description
- A stone corbel in the form of a king or Bishop
Literature
G. Lloyd, "Medieval Carved Stones at Mold," Publications of the Flintshire Historical Society, vol. 18 (1960), p. 164-8
Condition
This stone head exhibits weathering consistent with having been installed outside (in a stone wall) for an extended amount of time. The signs of weathering include remnants of lichen, general surface wear and attached areas of mortar. It is, however, a wonderful example of English medieval stone work.
