Description
- Huang Binhong
- SCENE OF YUZHOU
- ink and colour on paper, folding fan
Signed Binhong, inscribed, with a dedication, and one seal of the artist. The reverse, calligraphy by Wang Jitang (1878-1948)
Condition
- Both sides in good condition.
- Illustrated colours of the painting appear to be more intense, whereas the actual colours are brighter and more expressive.
- The calligraphy side is found with a tear of 5.5 cm long on the second rib from the left, a few very minor scratches on the surface of the gold-flecked paper are found from the 4th to the 6th ribs.
