Catalogue Note
Anthony James, 5th Earl of Newburgh, was born June 20, 1757, the only son of James Bartholomew, 4th Earl, and his wife Barbara, daughter and heir of Anthony Kemp of Slindon, co. Sussex. On June 30, 1789 he married Anne Webb, daughter of Joseph Webb of Odstock. He died in 1814. Anne died in 1861 at the age of 99.
