Description
carved with long, curly hair, his left hand open and gesturing forward, with long robes and cloak carrying a bible in a cloth sack suspended from his belt, upon octagonal base.
Catalogue Note
The combining of the treatment of the face with long nose terminating in a soft point and the type of large, deep folds of drapery recall the work of the Swabian wood sculptor, Hans Multscher (1427-1467), and the Ulm region.
