A variant of this composition of slightly larger size (oil on canvas, 124 by 160 cm.), is in the Musée du Louvre, Paris, n^o 924.¹  F.Ingersoll-Smouse, in his catalogue raisonée, lists three other lost versions: one was formerly in the collection Jouve, in Aix in 1861; the second was in the Montlaur collection, Château de Lyonne, near Vichy, in 1864; and the last one was recorded 🍨in the collection of the Baron Speck-Sternberg, in Leipzig.
