Condition
Executed on wove paper laid down on card hinged to the overmount along the top edge. There are some very light lines of wrinkling at intervals throughout the sheet, inherent to the laying down process. There is some discoloration throughout though mainly to the background. Apart from some light time staining to the edges and some light wrinkling at intervals to the bottom edge this work is in good condition.

Catalogue Note
Gustave Soulier, to whom this drawing is dedicated, was Director of the Musée de L'Art Décoratif in Paris in 1903 and was in charge of the Institut Français in both Florence and Naples in the 1920s and 1930s.
