Description
The graduating necklace set with 70 old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 13.00 carats, mounted in platinum and gold, length 14 inches, separates into a pair of bracelets; accompanied by an ornament designed as a shooting star, set with old European-cut, single-cut and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.00 carats, mounted in platinum and gold, 1 diamond missing; together with two hair comb fittings, one set with an old European-cut diamond, a feather mounted for one of the combs, and a brooch and pendant fitting for the diamond-set star ornament. Condition
The NECKLACE-BRACELET COMBINATION is in good condition with wear to the mounting commensurate with age. The diamonds range from G-H to K-L color and are predominantly SI clarity. The largest diamond is approximately 1.35 cts, K-L color and SI clarity. May be worn as 2 bracelets measuring 6 3/4 and 7 inches. The AIGRETTE-BROOCH combination is in good condition with wear commensurate with age. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, and predominantly SI clarity. The diamond noted as missing is a tiny rose-cut on the star (seen only upon very close inspection). The box accompanying the aigrette shows relatively moderate soiling and wear; the silk interior remains in quite good condition. Please note that the aigrette-brooch-pendant is not designed to be worn with the necklace-bracelet.
