- Van Cleef & Arpels
Designed as an arch of cushion-shaped yellow and blue sapphires studded with small round diamonds and rubies, entwined with a folded ribbon also studded with diamonds, the whole set with 19 round diamonds weighing approximately 1.25 carats, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY 4382; together with an 18 karat gold mesh necklace, length 16½ inches.
Condition
The BROOCH is in good condition with light wear to the mounting. The sapphires range from light to medium yellow, and light to medium blue/violetish blue. They are predominantly eye-clean; some bear minor chips and minute abrasions. The rubies are a vibrant medium-deep red; the diamonds are approximately G-H-I, VS clarity. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered 4382 on pin bridge. The associated necklace is in good condition and bears Italian marks.
