Description
- Van Cleef & Arpels
One with petals of cushion-shaped yellow sapphires, the center a cluster of round blue sapphires, the other with petals of cushion-shaped blue sapphires, the center a cluster of round rubies, framed by petals of 18 karat gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered CS9260 and CS 9261, maker's mark, assay marks.
Condition
Both lots are in good condition with light surface wear to the mountings. The maker's marks are for Pery and Fils on the pin bridge of both clips. The yellow sapphires weigh approx. 47.00 carats, the cushion-shaped blue sapphires approximately 20.00 carats, the round blue sapphires approximately 2.95 carats and the rubies approximately 2.80 carats. The pastel violetish blue and yellow cushion-shaped sapphires range from eye-clean to lightly included; two of the blue sapphires are chipped (one minor and one approximately 4 x 2.2 x 1 mm). The round sapphire are medium to medium-deep blue and of good quality. The round rubies are a slightly purplish medium to medium-deep red and of good quality.
