Description
The pendant composed of a flexible, multi-tiered cascade of cabochon emeralds studded with small round diamonds, capped by a chain fringe tassel crowned by round diamonds, surmounted by a flared pendant loop with scalloped edges alternately set with round emeralds and sapphires, suspended from a gold rope necklace decorated at intervals with scallop-edged links studded with small round emeralds and sapphires, length 32 inches, pendant detachable, signed J. Lacloche, Paris, assay marks.
Condition
Emeralds are a medium deep bluish green color and are heavily included, with numerous surface-reaching inclusions. Sapphires are a medium deep blue color and diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS clarity. Nice movement in the fringes and emerald cascade. Signed J. LaCloche Paris on reverse of brooch/pendant near where fringes attach. Fitted with a brooch mechanism and a large pendant bail. With french assay marks on brooch/pendant and tongue of clasp on chain.
