Relief etching printed in light brown with extensive hand-coloring in watercolor and gouache, and with additions in pen and black ink, on wove paper with a partial Buttanshaw watermark, with unusually wide margins, stitching holes in the left margin (partly filled in), some pale discoloration in the margins and a few tiny fox marks, two pale oval stains on the verso, center, the upper one showing through slightly, a few nicks and tiny creases in the margin edges (all well outside the image), but generally in good condition

Condition

The sheet is in generally good condition. There are stitching holes (possibly from previous binding) in the left margin which have been partly filled in, and some nicks in the very edges of the sheet. The color of the sheet has changed over time, with some pale discoloration showing in the margins and a few tiny foxmarks,as well. The verso is discolored in the center, a result of off-setting from the adjoining sheet, and there are two pale oval stains. The upper one is barely visible on the recto.
