Etching, 1922, signed in pencil, on wove paper, with wide margins, in good condition apart from minor discoloration in the margins, pale light- and time stain, framed

Condition

The print is in good condition as catalogued and is a nicely inked impression. Exposure to light over time has slightly darkened the paper tone. The sheet edges are trimmed irregularly and there are sharp creases at the extreme sheet edges at top and right. The upper sheet edge has two very short unrepaired tears. Discoloration in the margins consists of a small area of damp stain at bottom, scattered fox marks (most are very tiny), and time stain.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
