Condition

STRUCTURE: Relined. SURFACE: There is fine surface cracquelure throughout the painting. The canvas appears clean and the paint surface stable. UV LIGHT: Under UV there appears to be a ¾ inch vertical repair on the hind quarter of the the larger pig. There are a few minor spots of retouching elsewhere. FRAME: Contained in a Victorian moulded frame (slightly chipped). COLOUR COMPARISON: The colours are not as light as the catalogue illustration suggests.
