Condition

STRUCTURE: The panel is sound although slightly loose in its frame. SURFACE: The panel has rubbed against the frame especially on the left hand edge. It is in good original condition with minor surface craquelure appearing mainly in her hair. A small horizontal indentation appears on her nose. The painting appears dirty and should benefit from cleaning. UV LIGHT: Under UV Light the painting appears untouched. FRAME: Contained in a original wood and gilt plaster frame (repainted with gold paint and slightly damaged). COLOUR COMPARISON: The colour are warmer and not as bright as the catalogue illustration suggests.
