STRUCTURE: The board is slightly loose in its frame, although it appears sound. SURFACE: The surface appears in good original order, slightly dirty and would benefit from cleaning. UNDER UV LIGHT: Under UV it appears untouched. FRAME: Contained in a gilt painted wood reproduction frame. COLOUR COMPARISON: The colours appear darker than the catalogue illustration suggests

Brangwyn and his friend, the artist Dudley Hardy, visited Morocco in 1893 and probably returned the following year for another sketching trip.
