Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting is in very good condition with a fairly old glue lining. The canvas is stable. The painting is clean. Under ultraviolet light, one can see that a few cracks in the lower sky have been retouched, a stretcher mark on the left side has been retouched slightly, and there are some cracks to the immediate left of the larger figure in the lower right that have been retouched. But overall, the picture is ready to hang as is.
"This lot is offered for sale subject to Sotheby's Conditions of Business, which are available on request and printed in Sotheby's sale catalogues.
