The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting is in very fresh condition. The canvas is unlined. The paint layer has probably never been cleaned or varnished. There is a small vertical retouch on the top edge in the upper left corner and another in the upper right corner, but these appear to have been done recently and without the picture having been cleaned. Overall though, the condition is extremely fresh and the picture will respond well to cleaning.
