Condition
There are various media marks and scratches around the edges of the work that reveal the red undercoat, these were probably made intentionally by the artist during the creation of the work. There is a crack in the board approximately 10cm in length within the lower right quadrant. Under glass and held in a damaged gilt wood and plaster frame. Unexamined out of its frame.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
