Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There is a restored vertical scratch across the canvas towards the right edge. The surface of the work is slightly dirty and would benefit from a clean. Held in a dark, gilt wood and plaster frame.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a vertical line of retouching to the restored scratch. There are various spots of retouching within the sky, road and the houses towards the centre of the work.
