There is a minor scratch to the upper edge and the upper left edge, and some cracks in the paint surface to the lower left edge. The corners of the work are chipped and worn. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a professional clean. Held in a pale, pink, gilt wood and plaster frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a patch of retouching to the upper right corner.
