The edges of the board are slightly chipped. There are areas of craquelure within the flowers, vase and directly below the vase. The work has a fleck of paint missing from the lower section of the vase, this appears to have been caused by a pin hole that has come through the reverse of the board. Mounted on a hessian board and held in a pale, grey wooden frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
