Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the red tends more towards plum, the orange more towards a cherry red and the salmon more towards a dusty pink in the original. The overall tonality is also softer in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is minor wear to the top and bottom corner tips and light tension cracks in some places along all four extreme edges, with some spots of associated paint loss. There are some faint rub marks along the right, top and bottom edges. There are three further very light rub marks to the top left hand corner. There is a horizontal surface irregularity in the canvas towards the top right hand corner, probably original to the work's execution. There are two tiny impact marks with associated paint loss: one to the centre of the bottom right hand quadrant, and one to the left centre of the bottom edge. There is a tiny media accretion towards the bottom right hand corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
