Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant, with the white tending more towards ivory in the original. Condition: This work in very good condition. There is light wear to all four corners with some associated losses to the top and bottom right corners. There are fine lines of tension cracks running along all four extreme turnover edges. There are several losses to the impasto peaks. There are three paint losses to the extreme outer edges: one to the centre left of the bottom edge, one to the centre right of the tope edge, and one to the upper right edge. There are drying cracks to the thicker impasto areas of paint, some with raised edges, most notably running horizontally along the centre of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
