Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer and richer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the rich texture of the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is very minor wear to the top two corners with associated paint loss. There is very slight canvas draw to the top left hand corner. There is a single diagonal drying crack with slightly raised edges towards the top right hand corner, partially visibly in the catalogue illustration. There is a tiny spot of media accretion to the left of this and a further tiny spot beneath this. There are three tiny cracks to the paint at the centre right edge, visible upon very close inspection. There are five hairline cracks to the extreme turnover edges: two to the centre right, one to the lower left and two to the upper right. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
