Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer in the original, with the yellow tending more towards sand and the brown towards maroon. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to all four corners and in places along all four edges. There are light tension cracks along all four extreme edges. There are faint handling marks in places along all four edges, notably in the top right hand corner. There is very slight canvas draw to the top left and bottom right hand corners. There are a few very small spots of discolouration towards the top right hand corner and some further spots along the bottom half of the composition. There a few faint handling marks to the top edge towards the top right hand corner. There is one small patch of light cracking towards the top right hand corner and a few further tiny isolated hairline cracks scattered in places to the right hand side of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
