Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly richer in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There is a short, light crease in the extreme top left-hand corner. There are two very faint horizontal creases in the lower section of the canvas, which appear to be original to the work's execution. There is very minor canvas draw to the extreme left-hand corner. There are a few extremely faint handling marks to the extreme left-hand edge towards the bottom corner only visible upon close inspection. There is a further handling mark towards the centre of the extreme right-hand edge. There are small spots of surface deposits scattered throughout the lower half of the composition. No restoration is visible under ultra-violet light.
