Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is lighter, while the reds have a slightly pinker hue in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack and there are some superficial media spots in the bottom right-hand corner and in a few places along the right-hand edge. The raw canvas is visible in places, intrinsic to the artist's working method. There are a few spots of surface deposits towards the bottom right hand corner. No restoration is visible under ultra-violet light.
