Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is more vibrant in the original, where the green of the background tends more to grass green, and the flesh tones are a brighter pink.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is some very light wear to the four extreme corner tips (in particular to the lower two), with some associated minute specks of paint loss. There are four tiny paint losses to the centre of the bottom extreme edge, and one to the right of the figure's left eye. There is a minute speck of red media accretion to the top of the dark green passage in the lower left quadrant. There are a number of scattered stable hairline tension cracks along the extreme overturn edges.
No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
